Walk Like a Man
“Jersey Boys” is one of the hottest shows in Las Vegas, and to celebrate its 1,000th performance, the production has decided to give back to the community by hosting a shoe drive to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas.
YOU can benefit, too, by joining in the show’s “Walk Like a Man” shoe drive effort. Simply take a pair of new children’s shoes to the “Jersey Boys” theater lobby at the Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino between noon and 5 pm on Saturday, August 28, and you will receive a FREE ticket to watch the show that night. Your ticket is good for the August 28, 6:30 pm show only and you may donate up to two pairs of shoes.
Up to 1,000 tickets are being given to those who participate in the shoe drive. All shoes will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas. This is your opportunity to see a great show for free and help disadvantaged children as they head back to school.

Local non-profit, Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, is hosting a huge rummage sale this Saturday, May 8, from 7:30 am to 11:30 am in the parking lot of the Southern Highlands Prep School at 11500 Southern Highlands Parkway.
Goodie Two Shoes is selling over 300 pairs of brand new shoes, including snowboarding boots, sandals, flipflops, baseball, football and track cleats, swim shoes and high heels. Local residents and merchants will also be onsite selling their own items, which can range anywhere from second hand personal items to handcrafted jewelry. You’ll just have to attend to see what’s up for grabs.
Established in 2003, Goodie Two Shoes is a Las Vegas-based 501(c)3 nonprofit charity that provides disadvantaged children and children in crisis with new shoes and socks as well as other items deemed essential for good health and positive development.
