No More Retail: The Warehouse Sale (February 12-13)

The unprecedented sale will offer dramatic savings on some 20,000 pieces of pure value and style including women’s and men’s jeans in all sizes (this is not a traditional “sample” sale) as well as a full range of tops, jackets, dresses, sweaters, skirts and shorts.
Brands normally sold at Neiman Marcus and other high-end retailers will be offered at up to 80% off retail, including 7 For All Mankind, AG Jeans, Antik Denim, BCBG Max Azria, Chip & Pepper, Christian Audigier, Ed Hardy, English Laundry, Frankie B., Junk Food, Laguna Beach, Lucky Brand, MEK, Monarchy, Morphine Generation, Rock & Republic, Rock Revival, Taverniti So, True Religion, William Rast and more. Shoppers who present a Palms Casino room key will be given an additional 10% off!

The sale, which will occupy 10,000 sq. feet at the Palms Casino Resort – Key West Room, is open to the public February 12 and 13 from noon to 8 pm. The event is produced by California-based The Warehouse Sale, which travels to fashionable cities across the country to help consumers find perfect jeans and more at pain-free prices. All items presented are manufacturer’s overstock, or pre-production designs.

Satisfy Your Denim Desires
Denim is always in style. But, the styles of denim is ever-changing. For Fall 2009, acid wash, destroyed and faded denim are hot and popular. It’s time to put away your dark, tailored denim for now and update your look with some new denim pieces.
Revisit the 80s with a pair of acid wash jeans. While the trend is 80s inspired, don’t reuse an actual pair from the 80s, as the 2009 acid wash jeans style includes a lower rise and a more patterned acid wash look, as opposed to the allover acid look from the 80s. Acid wash jeans aren’t restricted to just blue anymore. Look for acid wash jeans in black, too. Don’t pair with a white shirt. Instead, go with a graphic tee and a jacket.
Destroyed denim adds a stylish edge to your wardrobe. Younger fashion-philes can get away with a heavily destroyed look and exposed knees, while the older sector should stick with frayed hems and a minimal amount of holes and destruction. Avoid cliché by not topping your destroyed denim jeans with a tattoo-inspired shirt or a rock concert tee. Create balance. Women should consider wearing a floral or painterly blouse with their destroyed jeans, while men should top their jeans with a collared shirt and a corduroy blazer.
Lastly, faded denim jackets have made a come back. Here’s a very important tip: whatever you do, do NOT wear your faded denim jacket with a pair of jeans. That’s just tacky. Women, a faded denim jacket makes a great addition to a boho chic dress or a form-fitting LBD with a pair of moto-inspired ankle boots. And men, wear your denim jacket with a pair of cargo pants or corduroys. The fit should be fitted, not baggy.
