Holiday Shopping in Las Vegas: Town Square

Just because Las Vegas is in the desert doesn’t mean the town is without holiday cheer. In fact, this neon city turns into a festive wonderland of holiday affection and, of course, great shopping during the winter holiday season.

This blog post is the first in a series dedicated to the best Las Vegas holiday shopping. The selection was based on ambiance, store options and editorial opinion. Today, Go Shop Vegas features Town Square Las Vegas, an outdoor shopping and lifestyle center located on the south end of The Strip that has quickly grown into a locals’ favorite.

The Las Vegas climate makes outdoor shopping a desirable activity and the shopportunities at Town Square make outdoor shopping all that much more desirable. Store options include Apple, H&M, Sephora, Puma, Borders Bookstores, bebe, Lucky Brand Jeans, Aldo, MAC, Gap, Old Navy, Metropark, Steve Madden, JCrew, Sanrio, Bath & Body Works, The Body Shop, White House Black Market, Tommy Bahama, Guitar Center and more. Realistically, a shopper could get all of her holiday shopping done at once while at Town Square. And, she could end her day of shopping with a drink at Blue Martini or a meal at California Pizza Kitchen. Town Square is a lifestyle center that has your every holiday need covered. There’s even a Whole Foods at Town Square in case the gifts you long to give include fine wine and imported foods.

Adding to the holiday ambiance, Town Square features a delightful holiday tree, the opportunity to have a photo taken with Santa and “Snow in the Square,” a ten-minute snowflake show with choreography and music from 7 pm to 8 pm until December 23.

Besides great shopping, Town Square Las Vegas also offers delicious dining options and Rave, a digital movie theater. A day at Town Square is a day that is complete and delivers cheer to shoppers looking forward to a busy holiday season.

Town Square Las Vegas shopping tips:
1. Parking includes valet, garage, large parking lots and paid metered parking alongside the store fronts.
2. Town Square Las Vegas is located right in the flight line of the Las Vegas McCarran International Airport. Planes fly low overhead. It may look scary (or fun, depending on your perspective), but don’t fret. Those planes will land exactly where they are supposed to land. Don’t let the noise ruin your shopping.
3. Town Square was designed to look like a charming downtown area. This includes sidewalks that are not stiletto-friendly. Wear your more sensible shoes. Or better yet, find a handsome man to hold onto.
4. Check out everyone else. Town Square Las Vegas is a great spot for people watching. Tourists and locals alike show off their fashion sense.

Best in Shoes: Aldo

aldo logoThis post is just the first in a series of posts dedicated to the best shoe shopping in Las Vegas. Las Vegas shoppers love their shoes, and there’s no shortage of shoe shops in Sin City. For this first post, we’re going to focus on Aldo because they’re fashionable, affordable and just happen to be a Go Shop Vegas Favorite.

The first thing shoppers should know about Aldo is that it is a private label. So you’ll only find Aldo shoes at Aldo. You’re not going to find other brands. The next thing shoppers should keep in mind is that Aldo specializes in creating high-quality fashion footwear while maintaining great craftsmanship. Let’s put it this way: if you can’t afford to purchase quality Italian-made shoes, then Aldo is the next best thing. Seriously. And at Aldo, it’s always affordable.

You’ll find both women’s and men’s shoes as well as accessories. Styles vary from work-appropriate to casual to fashion forward. Whatever your shoe needs are, you’ll find satisfaction at Aldo.

Las Vegas has three retail Aldo stores and two Aldo outlet stores. Addresses and phone numbers are listed below.
